Below are the models and configurations that IT has chosen as standard models for WSU Vancouver employees. Upgrades are available but are unnecessary for the vast majority of users and tasks.
Employee Computer Program Laptops
To better prepare WSU Vancouver employees for remote work, the Employee Computer Program (formerly the Lifecycle Replacement Program) now only offers laptops. If IT has contacted you about getting a new computer under the program, you may choose one of the laptops listed below and there will be no cost to your department.
If you are looking to purchase a computer outside of the Employee Computer Program, approximate prices are listed. Please note: prices fluctuate, so please email van.evita@wsu.edu for a current quote rather than relying on prices listed here. We encourage you to discuss computer purchases with your department head prior to contacting VIT about purchases.
Though these computers are quite powerful, if you have a specialized application that requires high-end hardward, you may need an upgrade over what is listed here. If you choose any of those upgrades for an ECP computer, that portion will need to be paid by your department, so approval will be necessary. If you have any questions or requests for guidance when making your choice, please ask us by emailing EVITA.
Note: details are accurate as of 2/9/23.
