The Office of Community and Collaboration
The Office of Community and Collaboration cultivates a campus community of engagement and shared purpose at WSU Vancouver. Grounded in strategic leadership and cross-campus collaboration, the center serves to strengthen a sense of community where every staff, faculty and community member feels connected, supported and valued—with the opportunity to thrive and contribute to a meaningful and vibrant campus experience.
Guided by SPACE – Support, Partnership, Awareness, Connection and Enrichment—our efforts center strategic collaboration, values-driven action and meaningful interactions. We serve as a resource, convener and catalyst in creating opportunities for institutional learning, professional development and community connection for all across the fabric of WSU Vancouver.
- Support – We champion an environment where individuals and teams are equipped to succeed and feel empowered to contribute fully. Through thoughtful guidance, resources and collaboration, we help create the conditions for people and ideas to thrive.
- Partnership – We partner across departments and campuses to deepen understanding and cultivate meaningful relationships. Through collaboration and co-creation, we support sustainable progress and a strong sense of community across campus.
- Awareness – We encourage ongoing reflection and insight. Through intentional gatherings, welcoming dialogue and exploration of opportunities, we help cultivate deeper understanding of individual perspectives, team dynamics and institutional context.
- Connection – We cultivate meaningful relationships rooted in respect, openness and care. Through dialogue, collaboration and community-building, we create spaces where all people feel seen, heard and valued.
Enrichment – We create opportunities for personal growth, intellectual exploration and shared learning. Whether through programming, conversation or collaboration, we support a vibrant campus that inspires creativity and continuous development.
