Employee Resource Groups

Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) at WSU Vancouver are voluntary employee-led groups that foster a community and climate of equity, diversity, inclusion, belonging and justice. WSU Vancouver ERGs increase capacity for equity-minded institutional change and promote an ethical and socially just society through an intentional commitment to inclusion, equity and diversity by:

  1. Elevating visibility, empowerment, bridge-building, leadership and promotion of Black, Brown, Indigenous, Native American, Asian, Pacific Islander and historically underrepresented faculty and staff at WSU Vancouver.
  2. Facilitating authentic professional partnerships among Black, Brown, Indigenous, Native American, Asian, Pacific Islander and historically underrepresented faculty and staff and the at large WSU Vancouver community.
  3. Championing strategic efforts to recruit, hire, retain and promote Black, Brown, Indigenous, Native American, Asian, Pacific Islander and historically underrepresented faculty and staff.
  4. Hosting affirming spaces and community building for Black, Brown, Indigenous, Native American, Asian, Pacific Islander and historically underrepresented faculty and staff.
  5. Creating networks of awareness and support for Black, Brown, Indigenous, Native American, Asian, Pacific Islander and historically underrepresented faculty and staff.
