We are the VanCoug American Democracy Project. We promote participation in the democratic process, deliberative dialogue, civil discourse, and civic engagement.
Get involved with the VADP
Anyone on campus and in the community can attend VADP events and participate in our activities. Our events range from a focus in general democratic knowledge and skill building to addressing specific social challenges like sex trafficking and gender equality in the workplace. We encourage students to become engaged on campus and in the community to create a more educated, democratic society.
Our initiative is nationwide and was brought to Washington State University Vancouver in 2012. Participants learn about how to use policy to promote change, create an individual voice for themselves and increase their civic awareness.
