Author Talk with Brian Tashima

Hear author and songwriter Brian Tashima speak about writing and publishing. Food and drinks will be provided.

Tashima is an author, musician, screenwriter, blogger, podcaster and filmmaker from Vancouver, Wash. The first book in his “Joel Suzuki” series of young adult novels was a finalist for a USA Best Book Award for Fantasy Fiction, and his manga-style comic book series, “Glorified,” was an Indie Volt Comic Book Award nominee for Best Writer and Best Ongoing Series. In addition, he is a former winner of a Hoku Award (Hawaii’s version of the Grammys) for Rock Album of the Year, and he currently serves on the board of directors of Autism Empowerment, a Vancouver-based nonprofit.
