Clark Public Utilities needs to improve the reliability of the electrical feed to campus by installing a new power feed. Campus will have no power for 6 – 8 hours beginning at 8 a.m. Wednesday, March 13 to accommodate this necessary work.
Staff should have plans in place with their supervisors to work from home, flex their schedule or use annual leave, accrued comp time, personal holiday or leave without pay. Staff essential to the project have been identified and are required to report to campus March 13.
Campus will remain open and main building doors will be unlocked Wednesday despite the power outage. If you choose to come to campus, follow standard parking rules and be aware that Facilities Services, IT and Public Safety will be focused on the power project and unavailable to provide services unless it’s a true emergency.
