"Don't call me Anti-Vaxxer!" Research on Factors that Influence Vaccine Hesitancy

Abstract

In early 2019, Southwest Washington experienced an outbreak of measles believed to be concentrated within communities with low vaccination rates. This study investigates the underlying reasons for vaccine hesitancy among residents of Clark County, WA and surrounding areas. The goal is to derive insights and create a communication strategy to foster better relationships between medical professionals and the vaccine-hesitant community.
