Emergency warning systems

WSU Vancouver continues to improve our ability to provide warning and notification of immediate situational and environmental emergency situations affecting the campus.

Campus Outdoor Warning System

The Campus Outdoor Warning System consists of public address (PA) units mounted on the exterior of campus buildings and on selected emergency telephone stanchions. It provides announcements and emergency information to the outdoor areas of campus.

Emergency Notification System

The Emergency Notification System connects directly to students, faculty and staff by using voice messaging, text messaging and emails to provide emergency warnings and instructions. University phones and email addresses will automatically receive the system messages. To receive Emergency Notification System messages on personal phones and email addresses, sign up through myWSU.

Interior Loudhailer System

WSU Vancouver utilizes an Interior Loudhailer (PA) System and a telephone PA system that allows direct verbal notification to individuals located inside campus buildings during an emergency.
