This course is the introductory level where you will learn the basics of Lean Process tools and how they work together to eliminate waste in any process. Anyone looking to learn more about lean manufacturing and how to use the tools to identify and eliminate waste; Operators using Lean tools in manufacturing; Managers looking to implement a Lean Manufacturing training or to eliminate waste from business processes; and New leaders in a lean manufacturing facility should consider taking this course
➔This course is part of a two-course series. After you finish this course to gain basic knowledge of Lean, you can take the Lean Applications course to gain an understanding of how to apply the Lean tools to daily standard work.
What you will learn
- Understand Lean manufacturing tools and techniques (the 8 wastes)
- Learn about 5S, JIT production, Kanban systems, and Value Stream Mapping
- Relate how these tools can be used together to solve problems and eliminate waste
- Learn how Toyota Kata is applied to these techniques
- Develop a personal or organizational training program for Lean
