Community Vigil for Nex Benedict

Join a vigil in honor of Nex Benedict, a 16-year-old nonbinary student at Owasso High School in Oklahoma, who tragically passed away after they were attacked by three classmates. Benedict had experienced bullying due to their gender identity for more than a year before their passing. Although their cause of death is not confirmed, this loss has reminded many in the LGBTQ+ community of other losses experienced due to hatred and violence based on gender orientations and identities.
