VANCOUVER, Wash. – Prospective college students are invited to Washington State University Vancouver’s Preview Day at 9 a.m. Nov. 16. Check in begins at 8:45 a.m. in the Firstenburg Student Commons. Guests will learn about WSU Vancouver’s academic programs, the application process, financial aid and scholarships, campus life and more. An optional campus tour is available at 12:10 p.m. starting from the Firstenburg Family Fountain.
Preview Day gives students and their families insight into the affordable, high-quality university experience available nearby. An academic and student life fair provides an opportunity to meet with representatives from the academic departments, admissions and other campus resources. Representatives from student organizations will share information about recreational and co-curricular activities, and student ambassadors will give insight into campus life, academics and student support services. Members of WSU Vancouver's staff and faculty will be on hand to answer questions.
There will be four information sessions to choose from including: an engineering and computer science lab tour; a pre-health information session; the opportunity to see virtual and augmented reality projects created by students and faculty; and a visit to the Carson College of Business to learn about the program, internships and job opportunities.
Demonstrating the “how-to” of college affordability, The A-Z Paying for College Workshop will cover options for paying for college including loans, grants, waivers and scholarships. Financial aid experts will be on hand to answer individual questions.
This event is free and open to the public. RSVP to vancouver.wsu.edu/preview. Parking is free on weekends. WSU Vancouver is located at 14204 N.E.
