Get free help growing your business from WSU Vancouver’s Business Growth Mentor & Analysis Program

VANCOUVER, Wash. – The Business Growth Mentor & Analysis Program in the Carson College of Business at WSU Vancouver is currently accepting applications for clients for spring semester 2020. Participating clients receive about 500 hours of free consulting services and customized analysis. Under faculty and mentor guidance, student teams develop recommendations and an action plan for growth.

“I can’t encourage small businesses enough to get involved. I couldn’t hire enough people to do what Business Growth MAP has done for me,” said Bonnie Brasure, owner of Bleu Door Bakery. “Hands down, it’s one of the best things I have done since I opened.”

Spring semester projects will run from January to May and focus on business growth. These assessments are best suited for organizations looking to grow and take their business to the next level. Participating organizations must be at least three years old, have employees (contractors, part-time, and/or full-time), and have three years of revenue and financial statements available for analysis. The time commitment for clients is a minimum of 12 hours over the course of the 16-week semester.

If you are interested in applying to be a client of the program, complete the online application by visiting business.vancouver.wsu.edu/bgmap and choosing “Apply now.” After you’ve applied, the program manager will contact you to further discuss the goals of your organization and the details of the program.

Since its inception in 2011, Business Growth MAP has provided more than 109,000 hours of free consulting to 311 area businesses and generated about $15 million in new revenue to fuel the local economy.
