In response to how the COVID-19 pandemic may have changed some of your health care needs, the Washington State Health Care Authority (HCA) and Public Employees Benefits Board (PEBB) are giving Washington employees an opportunity to adjust some of their benefits. From July 1 through 31, 2020, you will have a limited open enrollment opportunity to make the following changes to your benefits, with an August 1, 2020 effective date:
- Enroll in medical if currently waived
- Add eligible dependents to medical coverage
- Increase or decrease Medical FSA or DCAP elections
- Enroll in Medical FSA or DCAP for the remainder of 2020, if eligible for these benefits
Dependent verification documents are required to enroll a dependent. You cannot change your medical plan, waive medical coverage, or enroll uncovered dependents in dental coverage during this limited open enrollment. If you do not wish to make any changes, no action is needed.
Changes will be made using special enrollment forms, available for download on July 1 at the HRS Limited Open Enrollment webpage. No-contact submission options can be reviewed there as well. Additional information can be found at the [hca.wa.gov/pebb-oe]HCA PEBB Limited Open Enrollment webpage.
