The College of Arts and Science at Washington State University Vancouver is looking for Adjunct Faculty with an interest in teaching one or more courses in their areas of expertise for the Spring 2022 semester.
Appointment and Instruction Dates: The appointment is effective January 1 through May 15, 2022. Instruction begins on Monday, January 10, 2022 and the last day of instruction is Tuesday, May 10, 2022.
Course Materials: Access to course materials will be provided.
Mode: Course is taught in-person, on the WSU Vancouver campus.
Spring 2022 Adjunct Faculty positions: We are seeking faculty applicants to teach the following courses.
Course: Spanish 105 (1 lecture credit): Elementary Spanish conversation. Supplementary conversational course. Design speaking & listening activities centered around the vocabulary and grammar structures taught in second-semester Spanish.
Class Meeting Times: Tuesdays: 2:55-3:45p
Expected Enrollment: 10 students
Course: Spanish 205/305 (1 lecture credit): Intermediate Spanish conversation. Supplementary conversational course. Design speaking & listening activities centered around the vocabulary and grammar structures taught in intermediate/upper-intermediate Spanish courses.
Class Meeting Times: Tuesdays: 12:05-12:55p

Required: Candidates must possess at least a Master’s degree in Spanish, or be a native or heritage speaker of the language with a BS/BA or higher in any field. Documented experience successfully teaching Spanish to beginning/intermediate students. Availability to instruct both sections.
Familiarity with Canvas. Successful candidates must demonstrate a commitment to working with diverse student and community populations.
