"Comp Time" and Workday Implementation

In July 2020, WSU will migrate current payroll/personnel data into Workday; however, some data, including comp time balances cannot be automatically converted into Workday.  

Therefore, unused comp time balances accrued through June 30, 2020, must be paid out.  Exceptions to carry a comp time balance after June 30, 2020, may not be approved.  Employees should work with their department to request comp time-off or to receive payment for their comp time balance.  Payment for comp time not scheduled to be used by June 30, 2020, must be submitted to Payroll Services no later than May 28, 2020.  Refer to BPPM 60.60 Time Report for Overtime-Eligible Employees for comp time payout processes. 

Upon successful implementation of Workday, with supervisory approval, employees may begin earning comp time and Workday will automatically calculate comp time earned, balances and pay-out.
