Vancouver Symphony Orchestra Distinguished Speaker Series: Panel Discussion

Hear a group of renowned musicians discuss the importance of arts and culture during the pandemic, survival of arts now and long term, and other topics related to the arts.

Panelists include:

  • Zuill Bailey, Grammy award winning cello virtuoso, entrepreneur, artistic director of several major music festivals in the U.S. and a professor of cello at the University of Texas at El Paso
  • Pedro Díaz, internationally renowned principal solo English horn for the Metropolitan Opera’s orchestra in New York City. 
  • Igal Kesselman, internationally renowned piano educator, director of Lucy Moses School in New York City, music director of Special Music School and artistic director of Kaufman Music Center International Piano Competition
  • Stephen Shepherd, Ph.D., VSO associate concertmaster, Portland Columbia Symphony associate concertmaster, former musician with Westmoreland, Wheeling, and Cedar Rapids symphonies and vice principal of Portland’s Roosevelt High School.
