Center for Intercultural Learning and Affirmation workshop honoring Disability Awareness Month

Workshop presented by Intercultural Outreach and Retention Leader Christopher Edwards.

All people experience change. Physical, lifestyle or health changes, personal, social or relationship changes, changes in education, location, housing or finances, changes as a result of grief and loss, changes in the many roles we play throughout our lives. The list goes on. Change is inevitable. With the pressures of COVID, forced online classes, technology glitches and other social or personal dilemmas, it is easy to become confused, impatient or frustrated. When you are a person with a mental or physical disability, going through such complex changes can be compounded with new frustrations or unexpected barriers. This workshop will offer you a safe place to be heard and uplifted. We will have the opportunity to share with each other helpful tools, tips, ideas so that we are in a better condition to attend classes, do homework, work our jobs and be of support to others.
