Please join us as Avantika Bawa talks about her solo exhibition “ICE.”

“ICE” pays homage to the former Georgia Archives building in Atlanta, Ga. This stark and monolithic structure was once a 14-story building, so nicknamed for its dearth of windows and boxy white marble exterior. It was built in 1965 and hailed as one of the most modern archive facilities in the nation for its time. It was demolished in 2017. As a result, the Georgia Archives has become an examination of the abstraction and memory of place through Bawa’s rigorous inquiry of its forms.
