Canceled—BaCE, Cultivating a Culture of Student Success for First Generation Students at WSU Vancouver

-

This workshop has been canceled and will be presented at a later date.

This BaCE workshop will provide participants with both quantitative and qualitative data into the barriers first-generation (TRiO eligible) students face within the WSU system. Additionally, the presenter will outline and contextualize the (AAC&U) high impact practices, interventions and student achievement objectives proposed in the TRiO Student Success grant for the 2020 – 2025 academic years. The participants and presenter will identify ways to support the success of first-generation students with strategic collaborative partnerships at WSU Vancouver. Lastly, a desired outcome is for participants to understand that WSU Vancouver is a predominantly TRiO-eligible campus at 74.7% of total undergraduate enrollment, and cultivating a campus culture of success for TRiO-eligible students is paramount for both the students and campus.
