Apply Yosso’s framework to explore how the strengths cultivated as first-generation students—such as resilience, adaptability and cultural knowledge—continue to serve them in their professional lives. Discuss how race, class and gender intersect to shape the experiences of first-generation professionals, and how institutions can recognize and support these multifaceted identities.
