WSU Vancouver classes are canceled as of 1:15 p.m.

Posted: Tuesday, January 17, 2017 - 11:12am

We are canceling classes beginning at 1:15 p.m. and throughout the evening TODAY, Tuesday, January 17.

As always, please make your own decision for your personal safety and travel destinations. The Portland/Vancouver area is anticipating likely freezing rain in amounts that may cause hazardous road conditions, particularly east of I-205. Faculty/staff should make their own decision about staying or leaving. Normal inclement weather policies apply.

We will be sending out text alerts for those registered to the emergency notification system and posting to our home page. We do this when we change hours of operation after we have initially opened normally. We currently anticipate normal operations tomorrow. Also, please use extra caution on Salmon Creek Avenue as sections remain impacted with snow and ice. We have requested attention from our Clark County partners, but they are understandably stretched pretty thin and will do their best. Kudos to our facilities and public safety crews for all they have done and continue to do to keep our campus safe.

Please travel safely.
