Exchange Documentation

WSU Vancouver has converted to an integrated e-mail and calendaring system using Microsoft's Exchange server software. This page serves as a repository of information to help users become acquainted and comfortable with Outlook and the Web-based version of Outlook known as Outlook Web Access. If you don't find the answers to your questions in the documentation below, VIT will be happy to help via e-mail or the helpline at (360) 546-9770.

Outlook

Microsoft Outlook is the main program that handles all aspects of communication through e-mail and shared calendars. It is a part of the Microsoft Office suite and is probably already installed on your computer. If not, our campus has purchased licenses to cover all campus faculty and staff. There is no Mac version of Outlook but Entourage, part of the Mac Office suite, provides most of the features available to Outlook users.

Entourage

Microsoft Entourage is the Exchange client for Macintosh computers. It is bundled with most version of Mac Office. Entourage provides most of Outlook's features.

Outlook Web Access (OWA)

When you are away from your computer running Outlook, you may access nearly all of Outlook's features through Outlook Web Access (OWA).
