Saving Files from the Internet

  1. Find a page you want to save. Remember, written material usually has copyrights. Get permission to use the material you want to save.
  2. Go to File Menu
  3. Click on Save As
  4. Change to the directory you want to save the file in or go to the A: drive to save on a floppy.
  5. Name the file.
  6. Click on Save or Okay.
The file can be opened in most word processors, but be aware that all the HTML web page coding will be in the file.

Saving Images from the Internet

  1. Find the Image you want to save. Remember, most images have copyrights. Check out the numerous image sites that allow free use of images or obtain permission from the images owner.
  2. Click on the image using the right mouse button. The quick menu will pop-up.
  3. Click on Save Image As.
  4. Change to the directory where you want to save the image or go to the A: drive to save to a floppy disk.
  5. Click on Save or Okay.
