Email Forwarding
Email Notification for Library Services
Faculty, staff, and students will now receive via email all library notices, except for fine related messages. The WSU Libraries will not send fine notices via email. To ensure you receive all notices, you must set up email forwarding within myWSU. This is a one-time procedure. After that, the WSU email address is loaded into the Griffin library system. Notices are mailed to your WSU email address and forwarded to the address you designate.
How do I establish email forwarding?
You need to have a WSU Network ID and an established email account in order to use email forwarding.
From within myWSU, select "My Profile" and follow the link under "WSU Email Address".
What are library notices?
Library notices are messages related to items you have checked out of the library or have requested using "Request Item". This includes:
- Items (books, videos, etc.) that are overdue.
- Items you have requested from other libraries using the "Request Item" feature of Griffin and/or Summit.
- Items that have been requested by another patron and have been recalled to the library.
Notices about items you have requested using ILLiad, our interlibrary loan service, are sent to you directly via the email address you supplied when signing up for ILLiad. The process of email forwarding described here will not effect your ILLiad account.
Can I change my email forwarding address?
Yes. You can change your email forwarding address at any time by going to myWSU and selecting "My Profile".
