About Document Delivery and InterLibrary Loan
Document Delivery
Document Delivery is the process of obtaining books and copies of journal articles from other libraries in the WSU Libraries system for the faculty, students, and staff at WSU Vancouver. To request items, please use the ILLiad request forms. (Note: You will need to create an account in ILLiad in order to request materials.) Materials requested from other WSU Libraries will generally take 3-5 working days to arrive here. Off-campus borrowers (those library patrons who are not WSU Vancouver faculty, staff or students) are eligible to request books from other WSU Library locations. (Article copies should be requested from your local public library.)
Interlibrary Loan
The Interlibrary loan (ILL) Service takes over where the WSU Libraries collection ends. When you, as a WSU Vancouver student, faculty or staff, need materials which are not owned by WSU, our staff will request materials for you from libraries outside of our system. Items will take slightly longer to arrive, usually within 5-7 days. The ILLiad request forms are also used for requesting interlibrary loan materials. This service is only available to WSU faculty, staff and students. Off-campus borrowers are provided Interlibrary Loan services through their local public libraries.
Charges
There is no charge for requesting books or articles. Articles will be delivered electronically to students and staff free of charge. Charges for faculty are forwarded to individual departments for payment.
Request Forms Available via ILLiad.
