Accessing Library Resources from Off Campus

The WSU Vancouver Library provides access to many electronic resources, including Library Databases, Document Delivery forms and electronic journals. WSU Vancouver faculty, staff and currently enrolled students can access most of these resources when not on campus, using your WSU network ID and password.

Off Campus Access

  1. From the WSU Vancouver Library's homepage (http://www.vancouver.wsu.edu/vis/lib/library.html), click on Databases.
  2. Select a database that interests you.
  3. At this point, you will be asked to enter your network ID and password.
    • Students: this is the same login you use to access myWSU and to register for classes.
    • Faculty/Staff: this is the same login you use for RoNet and for posting grades.
  4. You will only need to authenticate once when accessing multiple databases or forms during any one session. However, if you close out of your browser and then re-enter it, you will need to go through the authentication process again.

Network IDs

WSU requires network IDs for many services, including registration, posting grades (Ronet), viewing payroll information, accessing myWSU and using library resources from off campus.

  • Create a Network ID: You can create a network ID online.
  • Lookup Network ID: If you have forgotten your network ID, you can look it up.
  • Forgotten Passwords: If you have forgotten your network ID password, you can try to reset it online. If that does not work, you can use the reset form, drop by one of the student computer labs or call the VIT helpdesk at (360) 546-9770.
