Vancouver Information Services is an integrated information system encompassing the Library, Information Technology, and Videoconference Services departments on the WSU Vancouver campus.
Our mission is to provide the highest quality information resources, technology, training and support thereby enabling members of the WSU Vancouver community to achieve their academic and professional goals.
Members of the three VIS departments come together to tackle faculty-initiated projects that cover many areas of expertise. These projects fall under the umbrella of Multimedia Services, which is detailed below.
Library
The WSU Vancouver Library supports the diverse academic pursuits of the campus community through an extensive collection of print and online resources. With the staff's focus on service, the library provides a friendly and comfortable study environment for students and community members alike.
Videoconference Services
Formerly known as WHETS, Vancouver Videoconference Services facilitates live transmission of classes and conferences between our campus and other WSU campuses statewide.
Information Technology
Vancouver Information Technology (VIT) serves the technological needs of our students, faculty, and staff. This includes personalized assitance for faculty and staff, support for the student computer labs and classroom equipment, and a variety of other services related to the campus' technological infrastructure.
Multimedia Services
Drawing from the talents of all VIS staff members, Multimedia Services works with faculty on various projects to augment curriculum and enhance classroom presentations.
