Help and Support

AV/Classroom Technology Services provides WSU Vancouver faculty, staff, and students with Audio Visual equipment and training. If you are unfamiliar with the operation of equipment you plan to use, we will gladly show you how to use it. Please contact us at av@vancouver.wsu.edu or 546-9440 several days in advance if possible so that we can work out a time to meet.

In addition, we are available from 7:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday - Thursday and 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Friday for emergency support. To maintain the equipment and provide the best possible service, we appreciate your assistance in reporting any difficulties, bulb failures, or other equipment failures so that we may fix the problem quickly.

Available Equipment

The following equipment is available for checkout or reservation:

  • LCD data projectors - stand alone
  • LCD data projectors with VCR or DVD
  • LCD data projectors with PC computers on cart (Windows XP, Office 2003 and all major Media Players and browsers), 1.44m floppy, and CD/DVD rom drives
  • LCD data projectors with Macintosh computers on cart (G4 with OS 10.3, all major browsers and Media Players, Office for Mac v.X) Zip 100, and CD-ROM drives
  • 35mm Carousel Slide Projectors with wired or wireless remote control
  • TV/VCR units
  • TV/DVD units
  • Overhead transparency projectors
  • Document camera systems
  • Video cameras (VHS) with tripods
  • Sound reinforcement systems (P.A)
  • Smarttech Smartboard electronic whiteboard systems (available in designated classrooms)
  • Sony Mavica Digital still camera

Equipment Requests

Equipment may be requested through our online request form. In order to ensure availability of equipment, please submit requests at least 24 hours in advance of your needs. A confirmation will be sent to you via email. You will also be notified if the equipment requested is not available.
