ROAR Program for Graduate, Nondegree & International Students
We want to welcome you to WSU Vancouver! New students have many items of business to complete prior to the start of the term. The following information will assist your transition to your new campus.
Registering for classes is one of your priorities as a new student. Check myWSU to determine your scheduled registration time.
Graduate Students
You can begin to take care of important student business now. Review and complete the items on this checklist (PDF) to facilitate your transition to WSU Vancouver.
Contact your individual department if you have questions about advising. Some departments offer an orientation for new students; inquire with your department.
Nondegree Seeking Students

International Students
International students participate in the mandatory ROAR program as well as you will need to attend a mandatory International Student Check-in program. Check-in takes place the week prior to the beginning of Fall & Spring semesters.
Contact Kim Hiatt to reserve your spot at International Student Check-in:
- Spring-start (January) – Monday, January 4, 2010 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. in VSSC 101
- Fall-start (August) – Monday, August 16, 2010 from 2:00-5:00 p.m. in VSSC 101
