ROAR Program for Freshman Students

ROAR Orientation

You are about to begin a new phase of your life–college. ROAR, WSU Vancouver's New Student Orientation program, provides you with tools to facilitate a successful transition to college life on our campus. There are many things to do to get ready for classes and ROAR will assist you in the process. Follow the links to the program designed just for you.

All incoming freshmen are required to participate in ROAR.


Fall-start Freshman Students
(August start)

ROAR consists of a two-part, mandatory program. Students attend a 1/2 day Advising & Registration session, in June or July, as well as a two-day Orientation program the week prior to the start of the semester in August. Dates for 2010 are scheduled; Advising & Registration is June 25 or July 30 and Orientation is August 17 & 18.

Session reservations are not currently available; please check back as early as March for session details and agendas.

Parents/Family of a new student can register to attend the Family ROAR program.

Spring-start Freshman Students
(January start)

ROAR is a mandatory Orientation program the week prior to spring semester. Reserve your spot for January Orientation and review the agenda for program details. We look forward to seeing you on January 5.

Advising is completed in individual appointments and is required prior to registering for classes. You will receive mailed instructions to contact your advisor.
