Greetings and welcome to your university! We believe your education at WSU Vancouver is an exceptional one that offers a rich curriculum, extensive faculty contact, and the chance to be an active participant in a dynamic campus. We are a young campus with a pioneer spirit and we look to our faculty, staff and students to help us further develop and build our campus.

A successful college experience is based in large part on your involvement in your education, both in and out of the classroom. I encourage you to engage in the campus community - get to know your faculty, study with and learn from your peers. Start a new student organization, attend a campus lecture, enjoy a free lunch at the back to school barbecue or play dodgeball!

The new Cougar Center (main floor Student Services Center) is a one-stop service model where you can get many of your questions regarding registration, financial aid and student accounts answered in a friendly, expedient manner. Our Student Affairs/Student Affairs staff is friendly, knowledgeable and eager to assist you.

This online handbook is designed as a resource to answer many of the questions you will have about University policies and procedures, academic regulations, and campus services. We are here to support you in your academic pursuits and want to do everything we can to make your experience at WSU Vancouver a successful and productive one. Best of luck to you!

Fellow VanCougs,

Welcome back to another exciting year at WSU Vancouver! We hope you had a great summer and are ready for a year full of fun events and recreational activities. Your student government is here to support you, addressing your concerns and suggestions while working to create a healthy campus environment. We have many projects that we are working on this year in an effort to advance student interests in terms of recreation, childcare, textbook prices and other issues that are in the forefront of students' minds. Come by and visit us in our offices, found in the Firstenburg Student Commons, to learn about different issues and activities going on around campus and to let us know how we're doing. Please keep an eye out for flyers on bulletin boards and the various "sandwich boards" on campus that advertise student events. We are working hard to create a sense of student life on campus while bringing true recognition of WSU Vancouver students' needs to the community at large.
