Goals
- To contribute to the recruitment and outreach efforts of historically underrepresented students in higher education
- Develop and implement outreach programs designed to welcome and aid in the transition and adjustment of incoming students
- Encourage empowerment and self-esteem in students by pronouncing self-advocacy
- Enable students to make informed choices regarding academic, career, and personal issues by providing accurate information, support and education.
- Promote student leadership by supporting student initiated programs and providing training in leadership skills
- Provide and support programs that improve the retention, achievement, and graduation of students of diverse backgrounds
