Matt
Major: B.A. in Digital Technology and Culture
"Call me Matt. I am entering my senior year here at WSU Vancouver, and will be graduating with a B.A. in Digital Technology and Culture (DTC). I've been through many schools and programs in the past, including Columbia River High School, the Vancouver Communications Academy and Running Start at Clark College. When I'm not working or doing school work, my friends and I like to throw down on some karaoke. I'm also big on movies - particularly foreign flicks and sci fi; pen and paper roleplaying games (it's cool, trust me); running; automotive enthusiasm; writing; video production; graphic design; and good discussions. If you want to know more about my experience in the DTC program, or just want to talk about Takashi Miike and Wankel rotary engines, shoot me an e-mail at the address provided."
College Tip: "Your professors are there for you: get to know them. The better you know their methods and the better they know your needs, the more likely that you will have a successful academic career."
Luiza
Major: B.S. in Psychology, Personnel Psychology and Human Resource Management Certificate
"I'm Luiza, born and raised in southern California then moved to the beautiful northwest in 1997. I attended high school in Vancouver then transferred to Clark College. I love nature and hiking, camping, and taking scenic pictures. I also love painting and different forms of art. I love anything vintage and unique. I also enjoy traveling; I've been to Europe twice and definitely going back. I love good coffee, healthy organic foods, and sushi. I'm also graduating May 2008!"
College Tip: "Sit up front in class- you can't help but pay attention to lecture and teachers will notice you!"
Sean
Major: B.S. in Biology
"Hello, my name is Sean Myers, and I am a sophomore earning my degree in Biology. When I finish my bachelors I hope to attend graduate school and obtain my ND and a license in acupuncture. I lived in Puyallup, Washington most of my life and moved to Vancouver in 2001 and have lived here ever since. My free time is spent working, volunteering in my church, spending time outdoors, and playing musical instruments."
College Tip: "My one college tip would be to find some people to study with on a regular basis. ASAP!"
Liz
Major: B.S. in Biology
"Hi my name is Liz and I moved up to Washington from Tucson, Arizona two years ago. I'm a sophomore this year majoring in Biology. For me, the most interesting field in Biology is Marine Science, and I plan on pursuing it in grad school. On my time off I'll go to the movies, run, play tennis, or walk a trail on campus."
College Tip: "1. Make sure you make connections with your professors! Talking to them after class about lecture or any questions you have may open the doors for future opportunities in your field and major."
"2. Keep on top of your life outside of school so that you can focus on studying, or else you could end up with no time for anything at all, or worse, rushing important things. A calendar can be pretty useful."

Teresa
Major: B.A. in Human Development, Minor in Sociology
"Hello, my name is Teresa Gunn. I consider myself a life-long learner, as I have previously received an ATA Degree in Mngt. Training, and an AA degree, both from Centralia College. Last year I not only transferred to WSU Vancouver as a Junior, but also moved to the Vancouver area after spending the last 20 years in the Centralia/Chehalis area. I really love WSU Vancouver; the campus, faculty, location, and all the others who make this a truly wonderful place to continue my education. My son is also attending WSU Vancouver, so no matter what your age, or your goals, this campus has something for everyone! I work part-time, volunteer as a CASA through the YWCA, and will be interning this year at a local grade school, as well as with the Juvenile Justice Center."
College Tip: "Reach for your goals, no matter what your age or circumstances, get involved, try new things, have fewer regrets. Keep learning!"
