Frequently Asked Questions:

Q.  Do I have to complete an Associate of Arts or Associate of Science Degree before transferring to WSU Vancouver?

            A. No.  In many cases, it is not to your advantage to complete such a degree.  The State of Washington has set the maximum allowable transferable lower division credits at 110 quarter or 73 semester hour credits.  You should concentrate on completion of biology, chemistry, physics, and math pre-requisites. If you choose to complete an Associates Degree, the Associate of Science Degree is most helpful.

Q.  What "transfer tracks" are available?

A.  Students may start their college careers at WSU Vancouver, or may transfer with no minimum college credits.

You may transfer to WSU Vancouver after completion of an Associate of Arts Degree or an Associate of Science Degree.  Note, however, that these degrees are NOT REQUIRED for transfer to WSU Vancouver.

Q. How many credits may I transfer to WSU?

            A. Total allowable transfer credits:  135 quarter or 90 semester hours.

Of the total, only 110 quarter or 73 semester hour lower division (100-200 level) may be transferred towards your degree.
