Fields of Study: Environmental
Science
Students with interests in the field of environmental
science benefit from a "living laboratory" on our 351-acre
campus, complete with streams, meadows, forests and wetlands
in close proximity to the Columbia River, old growth
forests, the Cascade
Mountains, and the Washington and Oregon coastlines.
Students may tailor the Bachelor of Science in Biology
degree to fit their interest in environmental science. You
may choose to complete the B.S. Biology using environmental
science courses as biology electives, or you may choose to
pursue a formal minor in Environmental Science (link to
description below).
Field
work and laboratory experiences are available with faculty,
government agencies, non-profit organizations, etc.
Students may earn research or internship credits towards
completion of their degrees by participating in these
opportunities. |
