Bachelor of Arts in General Studies, Social Sciences, Plans A & B

The BA in Social Sciences is a College of Liberal Arts degree. Therefore, students must complete the University GERs and the College of Liberal Arts requirements in addition to major and minor concentrations as listed below.


BA in General Studies, Social Sciences - Plan A

Two (M) Writing in the Major courses required

Major Concentration:

Total of 24 semester hours of any psychology course work, including 15 credits in upper division coursework.

Minor Concentration:

Total 15 semester hours, including 6 credits in upper-division coursework.

 


BA in General Studies, Social Sciences - Plan B

Two (M) Writing in the Major courses required

Major Concentration:

Total 39 semester hours, including 21 credits in upper division coursework, and a minimum of 9 semester hours in each of 3 areas.

These areas can include: Psychology, Sociology, Human Development, Anthropology, Criminal Justice, Political Science, Business Administration, History, Women's Studies, and Electronic Communications & Culture.
