RN to BSN Nursing Program

RN to BSN - The RN to BSN program offers upper division nursing course work required for the BSN degree at select sites throughout the state of Washington. The program is ideal for the non-traditional adult student managing a demanding schedule. Full and part-time options for study are available and efficient scheduling of courses offers working RN’s maximum flexibility.

RN to BSN Pre-requisites

  • RN licensure or eligibility for licensure
  • Junior year standing (60 semester credits/90 quarter credits)
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8
  • Minimum grade of C in each nursing prerequisite course

WSU General Education Requirements (GERs)

RNs admitted to WSU prior to August 2009 complete variable GE requirements based on the year of their first college enrollment. Contact Marie Fiorillo, Academic Coordinator, for guidelines.

An approved Associate’s degree, DTA, or BA/BS meets GER requirements. Listing of Approved AS/AA & Direct Transfer Degrees

RNs admitted to WSU after August 2009 must complete 6 GERs or have an approved transferable degree or a BA/BS degree.

Application Process

Two applications are required: the College of Nursing Application and the WSU Vancouver Application, must be completed and submitted online.

Application Deadlines

Fall admission: January 15
Spring admission: August 5

Nursing applications must be submitted to the RN-BSN faculty advisor.
