Masters Program
MN - The College's Master of Nursing (MN) program provides BSN nurses with the educational core to practice in advanced and rapidly changing health care settings. The MN program offers several educational avenues to prepare nurses who demonstrate knowledge and detailed practice in selected areas of nursing for advanced practice, leadership and education.
Advanced practice options include:
- Family Nurse Practitioner
- Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
- Community-Based / Population-Focused
The CB/PF nursing curriculum offers concentrations in:- administration
- nursing education (See information on the Nurse Educator Certification program.)
- care management
- individualized study option
Post Masters - There are opportunities for students to enroll in Post Master plan of studies, both in Psych/Mental Health and the Family Nurse Practitioner programs.
Also available is a new RN to MN entry pathway for experienced nurses with non-nursing Bachelor's or Master's degrees. For details contact either Marie Fiorillo.

Washington State RN License Required Effective Immediately
If you don't have a Washington State RN license or have let yours expire, please apply for one upon admission to the WSU Vancouver Nursing program. On this page, there is an "Expired Registered Nurse Activation Package" for anyone who has let their Washington State RN license expire.
Washington State University Nursing students cannot participate in clinicals unless they have their Washington State RN license number on file with the State of Washington and in the Nursing office.
If you already have your license or your Washington State RN license is pending, please send a copy of the license number in with your Application for Admission.

Application Process
Two applications are required; one to the College of Nursing and one to WSU. Applications can be obtained through the department or through the WSU Vancouver Admissions 0ffice. The WSU application can also be completed and submitted online.
