Alternate Pathway Nursing Program

Alternate Pathway - is for RNs with a BA/BS in another field.

RNs meet nursing pre-reqs for the RNB program and complete the Nurs 360: Professional Nursing Concepts and Issues and Nurs 440: Nursing Concepts: Community Health through the College of Nursing.

RNs apply to the WSU Graduate School and the MN program.

Admissions and Advising

1. Meet Requirements for Admission to the College of Nursing RN to BSN Program

2. Meet Requirements for Admission to the College of Nursing Master's Programs

3. Complete:

  • Nurs 360: Professional Nursing Concepts and Issue
  • Nurs 440: Nursing Concepts: Community Health
4. Document current practice and licensure (WA license required)

Application Process

Two applications are required: the College of Nursing Application and the WSU Vancouver Application, must be completed and submitted online.

Application Deadlines

Fall admission: January 15
Spring admission: August 5

Nursing applications must be submitted to the RN-BSN faculty advisor.
