on the WSU Vancouver campus.
We bring events and activities to students and the greater community.
Here is a sampling from previous semesters:

  • Tour of McMenamin's Kennedy School with Public Historian Tim Hills
Speakers
  • Brigit Farley, "The Return of History and its Meaning for the New Russia"
  • Quintard Taylor, "Blacks in the Portland Vancouver Area during WW II"
  • Sue Armitage, "Jacksonian America: Another Look"
    Workshops
    • How to Get into Graduate School
    • Careers for Students of History

The History Club is open to all WSUV students with an interest in history.

There are many reasons to participate in WSUV's History Club:

    History Club Listserves

The best way to stay informed about History Club events is to sign up for one of two History Club E-Mailing Lists:

The History Club Listserv allows you to send and receive e-mail messages to all current club members. You may use your home e-mail account or sign up for a free account in the WSUV Computer Lab (Classroom Building Room 218).

History Club Announcements is maintained by the History Club advisor, Prof. Sue Peabody (546-9647). She will send you an e-mail announcement whenever a history club event is scheduled but you do not have to participate in club meetings and organization. This is a good list for alumni, community members and non-history majors who want to be able to occasionally attend events.
