Connecting to the server from a mac

From the Finder (click on the desktop or select the Mac icon from the dock), choose Go > Connect to Server:

Type in the following address in the window labeled "Server Address":

The login window appears:

Workgroup: AD

Name: Your Network ID

Password: Your Network ID Password

Choose your class from the drop down menu (if you are in more than one class, select the volume you currently want), and click OK.

The volume opens up, and you can then locate your folder. If you have not created a folder yet, click the icon and select New Folder.

Make sure that if you are scanning or otherwise using a file, that you do it locally! Working off of, or scanning to the network causes a slew of problems, including slow transfer and file saving. Instead, finish your work on the desktop, then drag your file into your folder:

You can now access your file from anywhere on campus!

See? And you thought Macs were hard.
