The presence of "the arts" on a University campus is essential to the overall student experience and impacts institutional campus rankings. On a community level the presence of the arts is integral to the area's quality and desirability. WSU recognizes the role of the arts in driving local economies, building stronger communities, and creating intellectual breadth.
Courses in Fine Arts at WSU Vancouver are offered through the Digital Technology and Culture major. There are currently a dozen such courses, eight of which serve as core courses for the DTC major.
