Courses in Fine Arts at WSU Vancouver fill requirements for the Undergraduate General Studies, Humanities degree. There are currently a dozen such courses, nine of which also serve as core courses for the DTC major. Fine Arts courses are often used to fulfill requirements in the Digital Technology and Culture major.

The presence of "the arts" on a University campus is essential to the
overall student experience and impacts institutional campus rankings. On
a community level the presence of the arts is integral to the area's quality
