Mktg 495  Marketing Management

Course Overview
Mktg 495 covers the theory and basic issues of marketing analysis and planning. The course focuses on new market entry, but the concepts can be used for any type of marketing strategic plan.

Students will write a marketing plan for an actual business problem (client). This will take about 7-10 hours a week outside of class for data collection, analysis, group meetings, writing papers, etc.
[M] 3 credits.

Course Objectives
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to :

  1. Identify what information is relevant for developing a marketing strategy.

  2. Use this information to develop a course of action for entering a market or remedying a marketing problem.

  3. Clearly convey the justification for this action-oriented strategy.
