MIS 420  Business Intelligence


Course Overview
In this course you will obtain experience actually developing pages and applications, as well as gaining a better understanding of how this technology is employed by the rest of the world.
3 credits.

Course Objectives
On completion of this course, the successful student will be able to:

  1. Read, write and manipulate XML files using Visual Basic, and to perform transformations of XML files using XSLT.

  2. Read and write XML files using Access, creating reports and analyses of data using tools provided by the database.

Course Prerequisites
MIS 250. Special and advanced topics in MIS. Specifically, it is helpful if you are familiar with Visual Basic Programming.
