MIS 325  Enterprise Business Programming


Course Overview
This course introduces basic principles of designing and developing Internet-based business applications using C# (C Sharp) language in the .NET environment.
3 credits.

Course Objectives
After completing this course, students should be able to :

  1. Have a better understanding of Microsoft's Visual Studio integrated development environment (IDE), and object oriented programming (OOP) concepts of objects, properties, methods, and events.
  2. Design friendly user interfaces and maintainable programs using various control elements.
  3. Use predefined data types to declare and manipulate variables and arrays, as well as utilizing operators in arithmetic and Boolean expression.
  4. Debug projects using breakpoints, stepping program execution, and displaying intermediate results.
  5. Create menus and submenus for program control, and write reusable code in methods.
  6. Design and develop simple Web applications.
  7. Understand Microsoft's ADO.NET technology for accessing data in databases using both Windows Forms and Web Forms.
  8. Create graphical and animated applications.

MIS 250, MIS 271.
