Course Overview
Theoretical, research, and applied issues related to the compensation of employees.

Course Objectives
It is expected that at the conclusion of the course, students will be able to do the following:

  1. Understand the Total Compensation philosophy and its role in attracting, retaining, and motivating employees.
  2. Understand the elements of direct (pay) and indirect (benefits) forms of compensation.
  3. Have an appreciation for the business responsibilities of a HR professional.
  4. Have an appreciation for the legal responsibilities of a HR professional and the legal environment.
