Compensation Administration
Course Overview
Theoretical, research, and applied issues related to the
compensation of employees.
3 credits.
Course Objectives
It is expected that at the conclusion of the course, students
will be able to do the following:
- Understand the Total Compensation philosophy and its role in attracting,
retaining, and motivating employees.
- Understand the elements of direct (pay) and indirect (benefits) forms of
compensation.
- Have an appreciation for the business responsibilities of a HR professional.
- Have an appreciation for the legal responsibilities of a HR professional
and the legal environment.
