Dr. Latham joined the faculty of Washington State University in the Fall of 1994 upon receiving her doctorate in accounting from Georgia State University. Her teaching interests are financial accounting, auditing and accounting information systems. She received her B.S. from Rutgers University (1975) and M.B.A. from the University of Portland (1981).
Dr. Latham's research concerns information quality (or lack of quality) with particular emphasis on internal control and monitoring mechanisms, as well as analyses which enhance decision usefulness. Her current emphasis is on transaction analysis of interactions between physician practices and insurance companies.
