Course Overview
Acctg 331 is the second in a two-course series in Iintermediate Financial Accounting which deals with the theory underlying the determination of income and analysis of financial statements. The course is for students preparing to become practicing accountants in either the public or private sector. In addition to prospective practicing accountants, the course provides valuable background for those looking forward to various managerial or financial careers.

Course Objectives
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:

Read and analyze financial statements. Much attention is given to examples from current accounting practice and the reporting requirements promulgated by the Financial Accounting Standards Board.
Evaluate ethical considerations and the impact on various stakeholders.
Prepare for several professional qualifying examinations since this series covers many of the topics included in the examinations.

Course Prerequisites
Acctg 330 (Please note that prerequisites are strictly enforced and that students will be disenrolled if they do not have course prerequisites.)
