Olga L. Borges is originally from Mexico. She acquired her master's degree in Spanish Literature and Languages from Washington State University in 2008. Her B.A. (2005) is from Central Washington University, where she majored in Spanish and minored in Philosophy; she also studied at the University Complutense of Madrid (UCM), Spain. In her MA paper, 'La resucitada' o el feminismo gótico de Emilia Pardo Bazán, she examines the relationship between Gothic Literature and its impact on feminist ideas of the 19th century. Borges has presented her research on film at national conferences, including a paper entitled En busca de la utopía colectiva desde el punto de vista individualista at the CINE-LIT conference at Portland State University in 2007. Among the courses that she teaches include basic and intermediate Spanish language, as well as Spanish Film and Culture.
