WSU Vancouver Presents Digital Technology and Culture Brown Bag Lecture Series

Vancouver, Wash. - The Washington State University Vancouver Digital Technology and Culture program presents a brown bag speaker series, highlighting DTC faculty research.
The presentations are from 12 to 12:50 p.m. Thursdays in the WSU Vancouver Multimedia Classroom building, room 1.
Anyone interested in knowing more about the DTC program, curious about what digital media is, or how digital technology relates to culture is welcome to attend one or all of these talks.Nov. 2, John Barber presents "Remediating Richard Brautigan: A Pacific Northwest Writer Finds a New Home on the World Wide Web," a presentation focusing on the development of Barber's internationally acclaimed Web site, the Brautigan Bibliography and Archive.
Nov. 9, Harrison Higgs presents "Air Awareness and Ice Feel," explaining his work with digital photography, printmaking, and mixed media.
Nov. 16, Dene Grigar presents "Narrative Performance and Emergent Technologies," addressing digital media, motion tracking technology and the future of storytelling in the early age of computers. If time allows, she will give a demonstration of the technology in the new motion-tracking lab located on the WSU Vancouver campus.
